Mag. Alexander Schaffer is a multilingual finance expert with a degree in Business Administration from Leopold Franzens Universität, Innsbruck, Austria. Fluent in German, English, and French, he has an extensive background in financial management and digital transformation.

Currently, he serves as a Consultant at mahevi.solutions since June 2020 in Klosterneuburg, Austria, specializing in financial advisory for startups and companies. His role includes financial planning, scenario and risk analysis, and developing software solutions for financial analysis.

Prior to this, he was the Head of Digitalization and Innovation at Hypo NOE Landesbank AG, St. Pölten, Austria, from September 2019 to June 2020. His responsibilities included implementing digitalization projects and developing digital strategies.

As CIO/COO of Hypo NOE Landesbank AG from August 2018 to September 2019, he managed five departments focusing on IT, in-house consulting, back-office operations, and treasury services.

He was also the Head of Strategic Risk Management at the same bank from July 2015 to August 2018, overseeing market and liquidity risk management, valuation, and internal capital adequacy.

At Erste Group Bank AG, Vienna, he led the Liquidity and Market Risk Management department from March 2013 to July 2015, focusing on regulatory compliance and risk measurement.

As an advisor to the CFO/CRO at Hypo NOE Landesbank AG from October 2011 to March 2013, he consulted on strategic and regulatory projects.

Serving as CFO of Zuno Bank AG from October 2009 to June 2011, he was key in the financial planning of a new direct bank in Central and Eastern Europe.

He held various roles at S Wohnbaubank AG and S Bausparkasse AG in Vienna, focusing on asset-liability management and treasury from August 1998 to October 2009.

Earlier, he was a Controller at Road Trans GmbH / CTC CombiTransCargo GmbH in Salzburg from February 1991 to August 1998, supporting marketing and IT activities.
