Puts a visible caption with mahevi and today’s date on a photo and gives you the image back. For images you pass on that should show where they come from and when they were marked.

Processed on the server
The image is uploaded to the mahevi server and processed there, not in your browser. The server keeps a copy of the result together with a digital signature. So do not upload images that must stay private.
What goes onto the image
At the bottom centre, the caption “mahevi - YYYY-MM-DD” with today’s date, in semi-transparent white with a dark shadow, about 2% of the image height. A photo the camera stored rotated is turned upright first, so the text ends up at the bottom. The server also writes an identifier into the file’s EXIF comment.
Daily quota
Watermarks and PDF signatures share one quota per day, for all users together. Once it is used up, nothing is uploaded and a notice appears. It works again the next day.
Set a watermark on an image
Click the box or drop an image onto it, the upload starts right away. You get back a JPEG under the original file name: it is downloaded and shown here with its metadata, with a map of where it was taken if it has GPS data. The switch below the image shows or hides the full list of metadata.
